EPA Seeks Nominations to Serve on Science Board

The Environmental Protection Agency announced that it is seeking nominations of technical experts to serve on the Board of Scientific Counselor’s (BOSC), a federal advisory committee to EPA’s Office of Research and Development. The BOSC includes both an Executive Committee and a number of subcommittees that focus on key R&D programs including Air, Climate, and Energy Research; Chemical Safety for Sustainability Research and Human Health Risk Assessment; Homeland Security Research; Safe and Sustainable Water Resources Research; and Sustainable and Healthy Communities Research. The BOSC came under media scrutiny when EPA leadership chose not to renew the terms for half of the scientists that had served on BOSC and were up for renewal. The deadline for nominations is June 30, 2017.
