Registration for the 2017 AAAS Leadership Seminar in Science & Technology Policy is now open. The Leadership Seminar is a “crash course" in science and technology (S&T) policy that spans over 4 ½ days, designed for those who need or want to know how S&T policy works. Learn directly from the key players in federal S&T policy about the federal budget process, the role of lobbying, how science is used in various parts of government, + more. You will gain an understanding of S&T’s appropriate roles in policymaking, as well as how to see policy issues from a policymaker’s and the public’s perspectives. You will begin to learn how to bridge the cultural gap between S&T and the policy process. Space is limited to only 30 to 35 participants. Click here for more information and to register by October 15, 2017 to secure your spot.
