How to Help Scientists Become Skilled Advocates in Congress

  • The Willard Office Building 1455 Pennsylvania Ave, NW Suite 400 Washington, DC 20004 USA (map)

I'm a former Chief of Staff in the U.S. Senate and House now working with scientists to strengthen congressional advocacy abilities.

At a lunch event on January 16th, I'm presenting findings of my recent research on scientists' attitudes about advocating in Congress.

Event attendees will learn:

  • Which advocacy techniques scientists say they want and think they need;
  • How confident scientists feel about their current advocacy skills; and
  • How to get scientists the training to up their advocacy game.
